Chinese Association of National Competitiveness

About the CANC

More than a non-profit organization, the Chinese Association of National Competitiveness (CANC) has contributed to the issue of national competitiveness for over 20 years. The CANC was founded by Dr. Chung-yuang Jan on October 3, 1998. In the late 1990s, the CANC has been the first to introduce the concept of “competitiveness index” in academic community. Base on the critical role of government in facilitating national competitiveness; the CANC has developed various programs about the administrative management, e-governance, public safety, and sustainability development. After the efforts for more than one decade, there are more than 200 members now in the CANC, including the well-known and outstanding academic faculties from many different universities, the practitioners of enterprises, governmental agencies, legislators, congressmen/congresswomen, and ministers.

Mission and Tasks

 The enhancement of government performance and national competitiveness is the ultimate mission.
 The tasks include:
1. Conduct research about administrative science and national competitiveness
2. Being consultant on public management to government agency.
3. Publish academic journal and books on administrative science.
4. Organize international/cross-strait academic exchange on public management and personnel.
5. Other activities concerning the enhancement of national competitiveness.

Journal of Competitiveness Review

The “Journal of Competitiveness Review” is an academic periodical, concerning the topics of national competitiveness. Through the exchange of ideas and opinions among the scholars and leaders who has paid close attention to competitiveness, the purpose of this journal is to enhance managerial capabilities and provide the most outstanding innovative ideas. Hence, this journal welcome all kinds of academic articles contributed from the related disciplines influencing the national competitiveness, such as public administration, political science, economics, finance and management, etc. The Vol. 20 of the Journal of Competitiveness Review has been published in October 2018, and we invite you to download the electronic file of our journal through every important academic database in the future.
